Description : বড় মোটাহাঁটু/বাদা শিলাবাটান বড় ঠোঁটের বাদামি রঙের বড় জলজপাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৫১ সেমি., ওজন ৮০০ গ্রাম, ডানা ২৬সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) এদের দেহের উপরের দিক ধূসর-বাদামি, নিচের তথা পেটের দিক সাদা। এরা কাঁকড়া, পোকামাকড়, উভচর, ছোট সরীসৃপ, মাছ খায়।
