Description : মোটুছ মাছের দেহ লম্বা এবং পেছনের দিকে সংকুচিত থাকে। এদের মাঝারি মুখে ৪ জোড়া বারবেল আছে এবং তারা নীচে দিকে রুপালি এবং উপরে নীল-ধূসর হিসাবে আবির্ভূত হয়। এর পৃষ্ঠীয় কাটা লম্বা হয়। এর নদী, স্রোত এবং খালের মতো মিষ্টি পানির পরিবেশে বাস করে। বর্ষাকালে, এটি স্রোত, নদী, বিলের পাশাপাশি খাল, পাট ক্ষেত এবং ধান ক্ষেতে পাওয়া যায়।
