Description : কাউয়া মাছের লম্বা এবং সংকুচিত দেহ বিদ্যমান।এদের মাথা গোলাকার এবং এর অঙ্কিয় পৃষ্ঠ চ্যাপ্টা হয়। এটি হলুদ-পিতল রঙের এবং ৪ জোড়া মুখমন্ডলীয় স্পর্শী আছে। তাদের পৃষ্ঠীয় কাটা তুলনামূলকভাবে ছোট। এরা মিঠা পানি এবং জোয়ারের নদীতে থাকে।
