Description : ছোট মদনটাক পালকবিহীন মাথা ও গলার লম্বা সাইজের কালো রঙের পাখি। দেহের উপরের দিক চকচকে কালো তবে নিচের দিক সাদা।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ১১০ সেমি. ওজন ৪.৫ কেজি, ডানা ৫৯ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) সেকেন্ডারি পালকের শীর্ষে মেটালিক তামার বর্ণের স্পট বিদ্যমান। মুখের ত্বক আর গলা লালচে। এরা মাছ, ব্যাঙ, গিরগিটি, সাপ, এছাড়া মাঝে মাঝে মৃত প্রাণীর মাংস খেয়ে থাকে।
