Description : রাঙ্গা মানিক লম্বা পায়ের বড় আকারের পাখি যার মাথা লাল ও ডানা কালচে রঙের হয়। মুখের ত্বক কমলা-হলুদ তবে প্রজনন মৌসুমে লাল বর্ণের হয়।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৯৩ সেমি. ওজন ৩ কেজি, ডানা ৫০ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) এরা মাছ, ব্যাঙ, পোকামাকড় খেয়ে থাকে।
