Description : চিরিং জাতীয় মাছের শরীর হয় সম্প্রসারিত যার পূর্ব অংশ উপ নলাকার এবং পশ্চাৎভাগ সংকুচিত হয়ে থাকে। এদের উপরিভাগে সবুজাভ এবং নিম্মভাগে সাদাটে বরণ দেখা যায় যাতে ৮-১১টি অপূর্ণবিকশিত ব্যান্ড লক্ষ্যনীয় থাকে। এদের পৃষ্ঠীয় পাখনা পশ্চাত পাখনার চেয়ে বেশি লম্বা এবং এদের ল্যানসোল্ট পুচ্ছ পাখনা বিদ্যমান থাকে।
