Description : মেটে রাতচরা ধূসর-বাদামি রঙের পাখি জার গলায় ছোট সাদা ব্যান্ড আছে।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৩২ সেমি. ডানা প্রায় ২০ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পুরুষ পাখির শরীরের উপরের দিক ধূসর-বাদামি তবে নিচের দিক গাঢ় ধূসর-বাদামি। এরা উড়ন্ত বিটল পোকা, মথ ও নানা ধরণের পতঙ্গ খায়। নিশাচর স্বভাবের কারণে এরা সন্ধ্যার পর রাতের দিকে সজাগ থাকে।এদের প্রজননকাল মার্চ- জুন।
