Description : দেশি রাতচরা কাল ডোরার ধূসর রঙের নিশাচর পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২৪ সেমি. ওজন ৪৫ গ্রাম, ডানা প্রায় ১৫ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পাখিটি দেখতে বালুর মত ধূসর বা বাদামি- ধূসর রঙের। এরা উড়ন্ত বিটল পোকা, মথ ও নানা ধরণের পতঙ্গ খায়। নিশাচর স্বভাবের কারণে এরা সন্ধ্যার পর রাতের দিকে সজাগ থাকে। এদের প্রজননকাল ফেব্রুয়ারি-সেপ্টেম্বর।
