Description : পাতি কাঠ শালিক একটি ছিট যুক্ত কালচে ছোট-মাঝারি আকারের পরিযায়ী পাখি।এরা লম্বায় প্রায় ২০ সেমি,পাখা ১২ সেমি,ঠোট ৩সেমি,টারসাস ৩সেমি,লেজ ৬.৩ সেমি।এদের ফ্যাকাশে কালচে পাখার পালক ছাড়া সারা শরীর দেখতে সম্পূর্ণ চকচকে কালো সাদা চকচকে সবুজ বা বেগুনি আভা রয়েছে। প্রজনন ঋতুতে এদের মাথায়,ঘাড়ে ও বুকে গোফের মতো পালক দেখা যায়।চোখের পাতা পুরুষদের গাঢ় বাদামি,স্ত্রী পাখির ফ্যাকাশে হলুদ।পুরুষ পাখির ঠোট উজ্জ্বল হলুদ ,স্ত্রী পাখির কালচে হলুদ।উভয় লিঙ্গের পাখির গোলাপিভাব পা,পায়ের পাতা ও কালচে ধূসর নখর রয়েছে।প্রজনন কাল ছাড়া প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক পাখির অঙ্কিয়ভাগে মাথায়,ও পাখার আবরনে সাদা ছিট রয়েছে,সাথে হলুদাভ বাদামি পাড়যুক্ত পাখার পালক ও কালো ঠোট রয়েছে।এরা ফল, আঙুর ,এবং পোকা খেয়ে থাকে।এরা ইউরোপ এবং মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে মে-জুন মাসে প্রজনন করে।
