Description : The immaculate puffer, a member of the pufferfish family, boasts a rounded body with a short tail and lacks scales or a clear lateral line. Typically grey or light brown, they possess the remarkable ability to change their coloration to a mottled grey-green, presumably for camouflage purposes. Sporting yellow lips and iris, along with a yellow caudal fin bordered with black, they are commonly encountered on sandy bottoms near reefs and within lagoons at depths of up to 30 meters. These puffers are often spotted hunting among patches of isolated rubble and in fields of sea grasses. While primarily carnivorous, they have been observed feeding on sea grasses and mangroves as well. Their typical diet comprises crustaceans and mollusks.
