Description : ছোট আকৃতির এ পাখির চোখের উপর বৈশিষ্ট্যগত কালো ও সাদা দাগ রয়েছে। দেহের উপরের অংশ ও ডানার রং বাদামি ও লম্বা পালক গুলোর প্রান্তের রং কালো। দেহের নিচের অংশ সাদাটে বাদামি। পাখিটি নিরবচ্ছিন্ন নল খাগড়ার মধ্যে মাটির কাছাকাছি খাবারের সন্ধানে তার সময় কাটায়। অন্যান্য অসংখ্য জলাভূমির পাখির মতো, এটি স্থানীয় জলাভূমির গাছপালা ধ্বংসের কারণে, এর আবাসস্থল হারানোর কারণে হুমকির সম্মুখীন হয়। এই বাসস্থানের ক্ষতি মূলত জলাভূমিকে ধানের ক্ষেত এবং মাছের পুকুরে রূপান্তরের কারণে হচ্ছে।
