Description : কাঁকড়া জিরিয়া পাখিটির মাথা কিছুটা বড়, পাখিটির ঠোঁট ছোট তবে শক্ত।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৪১ সেমি, ওজন ২৬৫ গ্রাম, ডানা ২১ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পাখিটি সম্পূর্ণ সাদা তবে পিঠের দিকে ও ডানার কিছু অংশ কাল রঙের হয়। এরা কাঁকড়া, শামুক, পোকামাকড় ইত্যাদি খায়। প্রজনন মৌসুমে এরা রাতে বিচরণ করে।
