Description : এর পালক সাদা,কালো ঘাড় এবং মাথা এবং একটি নীচে-বাঁকা কালো চঞ্চু রয়েছে। প্রজননের সময়, লেজের পালক কালো হয়ে যায় এবং ডানার নিচের খালি দাগগুলো রক্ত-লাল হয়ে যায়। কিশোরদের ঘাড়ে ধূসর পালক থাকে এবং ডানা ও পিঠে দাগযুক্ত বাদামী-ধূসর পালক থাকে। এটি জলাভূমির কাছে বাসা বাঁধে। এটি ঘাস এবং সুতো দিয়ে সারিবদ্ধ লাঠি দিয়ে বাসা তৈরি করে
