Description : পাতি সারস বড় আকারের লম্বা গলার পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ১১৫ সেমি. ওজন ৫ কেজি, ডানা ৫৫ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) এরা ধূসর বর্ণের পাখি, তবে মাথা কালো রঙের এবং তাতে লাল বর্ণের টুপির ন্যায় অংশ থাকে। এরা গাছের কচি কাণ্ড, শস্য, পোকামাকড় ও ছোটো আকারের সরীসৃপ খেয়ে থাকে। প্রজনন ঋতুতে পুরুষ ও স্ত্রী পাখি মনোরম নৃত্য করে থাকে।
