Description : ঘরবাতাসি কালো রঙের পাখি যার ডানা লম্বা ও লেজের প্রান্তভাগ চারকোনা আকৃ্তির হয়।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ১৫ সেমি. ওজন ২১ গ্রাম , ডানা প্রায় ১৩.৫ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) দেহের উপরিভাগের চেয়ে নিচের অংশ বেশি কালো। এরা উড়ন্ত অবস্থায় বিভিন্ন রকমের পোকামাকড় ধরে খায়।
