Description : পুইয়া সরু এবং সংকুচিত দেহের মাছ। এর পৃষ্ঠতল বেশ বাঁকানো এবং অঙ্কীয়তল অবতল হয়। এর ছোট একটা অর্ধচন্দ্রাকার মুখ আছে যা ঠোঁট দিয়ে আবৃত থাকে। এদের চোখ বড় হয়। এদের দেহের উপরিভাগ বাদামী এবং নিচের ভাগ হলুদাভ বর্ণের থাকে। এর পুচ্ছপাখনা দ্বিখন্ডিত। এর ৩ জোড়া বার্বেল উপস্থিত যার মধ্যে ২ জোড়া রোস্ট্রাল এবং ১ জোড়া ম্যাক্সিলারি বার্বেল। এদের দেহের বর্ণ হলুদ আভাযুক্ত হয়।
