Description : মেটে জিরিয়া/বাদা বাটান ছোট জলজপাখি। পাখিটির লম্বা লালচে পা। পাখিটির ঠোঁট কালো রঙে, পা ধূসর।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৩০ সেমি, ওজন ১৬৪ গ্রাম, ডানা ১৯সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) শীতকালে পাখিটির দেহের উপরের দিক বাদামি- ধূসর, নিচের দিক সাদা। পুরুষ পাখির পিঠ চকচকে কালো, নিচের দিক সাদা। এরা পোকামাকড়, ছোট শামুক, মাঝে মাঝে উদ্ভিদের বিভিন্ন অংশ খায়।
