Description : লাল রাজ ঘুঘু/ লাল ঘুঘু ছোট আকারের ঘুঘু পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২৩ সেমি. ডানা প্রায় ১৪ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পুরুষ পাখিটি বেশ উজ্জ্বল, পাখিটির মাথা নীল-ধূসর রঙের, দেহের নিচের অংশ হাল্কা বাদামি রঙের। স্ত্রী পাখির দেহের উপরের দিকে কিছুটা বাদামি, দেহের নিচের অংশে ধূসর রঙের উপস্থিতি দেখা যায়। এরা খাল বা রাস্তার ধারে প্রচুর গাছ আছে এমন এলাকাতে থাকে। বিস্তীর্ণ মরুভূমি অঞ্চলগুলিতে এদের পাওয়া যায়না। এগুলি সাধারণত ছোট পালের মধ্যে পাওয়া যায়, তবে তারা দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে এবং জোড়া গঠন এবং প্রজননের প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করে।
